I’ve been keeping a daily watch on our little backyard tree. It’s only the third year I’ve seen the pink blossoms, but that’s been enough to learn. I have to observe and admire quickly. The flowers only stick around for a week, maybe two weeks.
This week we had a March snowfall. It’s not terribly unusual, but does create the loveliest juxtaposition between spring and winter. My beloved backyard tree was haloed by the sun and the snow. I took way too many pictures, but couldn’t help but celebrate the both/and.
